Austria (full name Republic of Austria) is a landlocked country in Central Europe, located mainly in the eastern part of the Alps (the Alps make up almost two-thirds of the Austrian territory). The Danube River flows through Austria, and the most famous cities – apart from Vienna – include Linz, Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Graz and Innsbruck. In addition to renowned ski resorts, its territory also contains a number of thermal spas (Laa an der Thaya, Bad Gastein, Villach, Gmünd, etc.), which are characterized by their unique atmosphere.
