The United States of America (USA) is a federal presidential republic consisting of 51 states and is located in North America. The country is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The United States borders Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. Most of the population is concentrated on the coasts, with the eastern part of the USA being more densely populated than the western part. In addition to large cities, popular recreational areas include national parks (Yellowstone, Grand Canyon) and coastal destinations (Miami Beach, Florida Keys, La Jolla Cove, Outer Banks, Cannon Beach).
